Weather was cold and the sea bass was small.  Caught at the cross-island bridge.

Trusty Minn Kota got the Whaler back to doc after the motor quit.  A long 4 mile journey.

Air temps at 6am were about 56F.  Water temp was approx. 72F.  The bite was slow, with a few spotted bass caught on spoons and plastic, and a bluegill or two.

Homemade Pumpkin Soup

Chinese style homemade pumpkin soup.   The ingredients are simple: flour and water noodles, some olive or grape seed oil, chopped up pumpkin (guts removed), topped with some green onion and white pepper.

At Mountain Island Lake today from 7am to 12:30pm.  Water was 71F, are about 88F and  getting hotter.  90+ fish were caught and released, along with a relocated 4 foot long Black Rat Snake.
