While fishing a 'close to neighborhood pond' the fellas caught this 4 footer and kept him overnight.  He was release the next day at Mountain Island Lake, a much better place for him..or her..

Spotted bass

Water temp up to 75F, and air was up to 87F by noon.  Both large and spotted bass were hitting the more colorful plastics, as were the sunnies and bluegills.  A few topwater hits early in the morning.  And a channel cat bit a spoon.  At one point, there were 7 Ospreys circling us overhead.  A nice day to be out on the water.

Raleigh Beach Bomber

Purchased back in 1986 in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.  The old Raleigh Rambler MX beach bike is still cruising the beaches of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

The biggest of the day

The sunnies and blue gills are in town.  Throw in some spotted bass and it was a nice day.  Water temp 66F, air about 82F.

Whitings and a big whiting, all caught on shrimp.
