Spring Break Spots at Mountain Island Lake

Nice 4 pounder

Spoon Spot

Water temp was about 51F, Air 40F in morning and about 76F by afternoon.  A nice sunny day to be on the lake.  About 10 fish were caught and released, mostly spotted bass and a few largemouths.

Sunday Spot at MIL

Spot on trusty Mepps spinner.  Fish were still in hiding, as water temps hovering around 49F.  However, it was a gorgeous sunny day up on the river at Mountain Island Lake.

Gig at Vintner's Hill

Mr. Vague with Tim on bass had a great gig with great crowd at Vintner's Hill Wine in Mint Hill, NC.

Super Bowl on Catawba River

Fish must've all been at the game, but it was beautiful out on the Catawba River, did get back home in time to watch that football game
