Mr. Vague live at Cotswold Farmers Market ~ solo show
So good to be back making some noise again after a long haitus. Mr. Vague actually conversed with other humans, not done much in many months, and proceeded to put forth lovely music into the air. By noon it was about 90F. A great morning with great bunch of people. Thanks Sam, Ron, Margaret for helping out!
Mr. Vague got to chat today with the fine folks from Edgerton Farms, from out Rutherfordton, NC way, and got some Cannolis and Biscotti from Mana Bella...Thanks!

Back on the Water ... At Last
Spotted Bass
Sunfish
Spotted Bass
Catawba River Tiki Hut
After a long time away from the water, the Whaler made it back to Mountain Island Lake and the Catawba River for a few hours of Sunday fishing. Water temp ranged from 76F to 80F, Air was about 75-80F, a bit cloudy at 7am with sunshine coming through at 10 or 11am.. Bite was slow, and spots were taken on Mepps spinners, grubs, as well as sunnies on grubs. Topwater was attempted but nothing happening. The Whaler ran with no issues.

Black Rat Snake
Kinda think this guy had a mocking bird for lunch today..maybe..as there were about 3 other mocking birds out on the ground with him, squalking. He had crossed from the woods to the trees by the pond for lunch, then was headed back to woods while I was walking the dog. Quickly went back to house, grabbed the snake tongs and rode bike back...to help him cross the road safe....But by then he was already across the road and crawling into the woods, his belly full. In the woods thrushes and mocking birds chipped at him..

Partscaster Telecaster Build in Progress
This is how she looks thus far. Knot-free North Carolina white pine neck (Rosser Guitars), sanded, primed, painted (surf green), clear coated, sanded multiple times(up to 2500 grit), Fender neck plate bolted Fender neck to body, Fender tuners...thats it so far. Some of the body paint looks distressed, its just first time mistakes; left them as is, and it gives it a bit of road-worn look. Look for a Mr. Vague YouTube video in the near future on the complete construction.
