At Mountain Island Lake today from 7am to 12:30pm.  Water was 71F, are about 88F and  getting hotter.  90+ fish were caught and released, along with a relocated 4 foot long Black Rat Snake.

While fishing a 'close to neighborhood pond' the fellas caught this 4 footer and kept him overnight.  He was release the next day at Mountain Island Lake, a much better place for him..or her..

Spotted bass

Water temp up to 75F, and air was up to 87F by noon.  Both large and spotted bass were hitting the more colorful plastics, as were the sunnies and bluegills.  A few topwater hits early in the morning.  And a channel cat bit a spoon.  At one point, there were 7 Ospreys circling us overhead.  A nice day to be out on the water.
